Draedon is an AI, created in Terraria (so not alien). He appears as a robot in the Exo Mechs fight, though that is one of his recon bodies.

My first playthrough, I completely ignored everything Draedon-related for most of the game, until I got to the Exos and realized I needed thousands of power cells.
