Time is money in railroading. During the day, the crews did things that are not allowed today! One of those things, was coupling the caboose on the fly, as trains were departing from Copper Flat. Thirty loaded ore trains, a day, left the copper mine headed for the mill in McGill. It was a short trip of less than 30 miles. The railroad had six 4-wheel cabooses or bobbers as they were known.
